Introduction

The Interac Hub is an HTTP API which simplifies ID verification.

Relying parties can obtain digital identity verification from their end users through authentication with a trusted financial institution and/or verification with a valid government ID and live selfie.

The Hub API has been designed as a simple standards-based solution compliant with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) 1.0 Authorization Code Grant flow.

Intended Audience

This document is for Developers and Solution Architects seeking guidance on integrating the Hub API with a solution requiring ID verification. It provides the technical integration details for all Hub API endpoints including associated HTTP requests and responses.

ID verification can then be initiated from the Hub API leveraging the Interac Verification Service (IVS) for financial institution authentication and/or Interac Document Verification Service (IDVS) for government ID verification.
