Compatible Environments

The Interac Hub consists of an HTTP API with a few endpoints (authorization, token, userinfo) and an online user interface to guide the user through ID verification. This online user interface is presented either as a web client (Interac-hosted web site) or an optional mobile app compatible with iPhone and Android devices.

Web Client Compatibility

The following environments are supported:

  • Windows 10: latest Edge / latest Chrome
  • OSX 10.12+: latest Safari / latest Chrome
  • Android 5.1+: latest Chrome
  • iOS v11+: latest Safari / latest Chrome
  • iPAD : iOS v11+: latest Safari / latest Chrome

NOTE: During the document verification flow, the user will be prompted to upload their document and a selfie. This action is performed from a mobile device with camera capabilities and so in all flows the ID verification process will transition to a mobile device to perform this step.

Mobile Device Compatibility

The mobile device should have the device code/ pin set up and enabled on the mobile device used for testing. The Interac Verification Service app will not launch if this security feature is disabled on the device.

At least one mobile browser should be enabled on the mobile device if using web flows.

  1. Jail broken devices are not supported
  2. Device simulators are not supported

For the Interac Verification Service app, the following are supported:

  • Android v7+
  • iOS v13+
